Describe Image is one of the most intimidating question in Speaking section. And in order to overcome this question, you need to use a template.

There are different types of templates over the internet that can be use in this question and all of them are effective but the question is which one suits you?

In this article, I’ll be discussing a template for line graph.

Template

The line graph projected on the screen is the presentation of variables from research entitled [image title]. The horizontal line represents the [variable group name] while the vertical line represents the [variable group values]. The highest sector is [variable name] with [variable value] while the smallest sector is [variable name] with [variable value]. It is surprising to see that [variable name] is the second highest sector with [variable value]. Overall, this graph seems accurate and concise and can be a helpful reference for future studies.

How To Use

Image Title – The title of the image or the overall thought of the image

Variable Group Name – Name of the variables in the x-axis. (e.g. countries, temperature, year, etc.)

Variable Group Values – Value of the variables in y-axis. This is usually the label of the values. (e.g. percentage, number of occurrences, etc)

Variable Name – Specific variable of a data

Variable Value – Specific value of a data

Example

PTE Describe Image Line Graph 001

The line graph projected on the screen is the presentation of variables from research entitled the number of reported cases of measles in the United Stated from 1960 to 1981. The horizontal line represents the years while the vertical line represents the number of cases in thousands. The highest sector is from 1962 with 480 cases while the smallest sector is from 1982 with 10 cases. It is surprising to see that the year 1964 is the second highest sector with 460 cases. Overall, this graph seems accurate and concise and can be a helpful reference for future studies.
